Saying Goodbye And Good Riddance To 2020
The year of crisis and panic, of a global pandemic and lockdown, of lonely and isolated deaths, of cancelled travel and events, and so much more, 2020 is coming to a close. Sure, one day that changes one number in a label for humans and only humans to understand doesn’t change much more than our state of mind, but that state of mind can mean everything.
As 2020 turns to 2021, I try to keep my hopes up for progress and a new normal. Things will never “go back to the way they were” this year is something we will never forget. If we can alter our expectations and state of mind to look forward to what will come, I think that will help a ton. For some, masks will be an everyday accessory even once it’s considered “safe” to go without, Social distancing might be second nature, and maybe we’ll be just a little more aware of one another.
No matter you opinion on the upcoming year, I’m sure most of us can agree that we’re excited to be seeing 2020 fade behind us. This sparked an idea in me for a new design, Goodbye and Good Riddance 2020.
