We live in the time where video is king. Just take a second and think about the content that has the most engagement or how much of your own attention it draws. Video truly holds the power over our society these days, so it only makes sense to participate or get left behind. With that being said, I do love creating and publishing video content. Well, this was a jam packed day of activities and experience. It began with Put In Bay in Ohio and then off to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before heading back to Columbus, Ohio for our hotel.
An overnight stop in Detroit gave us enough time to explore the city and watch airplanes take off from our hotel window, while sneaking in a Detroit Red Wings game before heading to the shore of Lake Erie in Ohio.
Our time in Mackinaw City may have come to an end, but we still had plenty of Lake Huron to enjoy during the drive to Port Huron. This drive went completely along the shore of Lake Huron in Michigan and we, of course, turned a 4 hour drive into 8 hours.
Just another day jammed pack with adventure and new experiences for Liam and Bailey as they explore Tahquamenon Falls Park and visit 3 Great Lakes all in one day.
During Liam and Bailey's 2-week adventure in April of 2021, they explored Mackinac Island before the island truly opened for the season. The couple still had an amazing time and rode bikes around the entire island. Visit the website below for more information and more on their adventure.
This video was originally meant to cover all three days spent in northern Michigan, but after editing just the travel day from Green Bay to Mackinaw City, the video was already 10 minutes long. This drive was incredibly beautiful along the Lake Michigan shore for the vast majority of the drive. Check out our hotel room at the end too!
After a year with very limited travel, Liam and Bailey decided to start their 2021 travel year with a bang by taking a 2 week road trip to 12 states and 4 Great Lakes. This is part one to the mini series featuring Dubuque, Iowa and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
In February of 2021, Liam and Bailey took a trip 3 hours north to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to watch the Stampede play.
In September of 2020, Liam and Bailey took their first trip in 7 months (thanks to the pandemic) to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and then spent 2 days in Dubuque, Iowa on their way home.
The pandemic put a halt to worldwide travel in 2020. Towards the end of the year, Bailey and Liam decided to take a trip to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to visit a cousin of Bailey’s. Milwaukee is only an hour and a half drive from Chicago, so they decided to take a day trip to the big city.
Liam and Bailey make another trip shortly after their first trip of 2020 to Des Moines, Iowa. The intent was to watch the Manitoba Moose (AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets) play the Iowa Wild.
Well this is not what we had imagined our trip to St. Paul, Minnesota would go. We just wanted to see the Winnipeg Jets play and start off a year full of travel in 2020 (although, we all know how that year turned out).
Part 2 of Littles & Bigs Adventure to Banff and Yoho National Parks in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada is incredibly beautiful and emotional.
Liam had been to Sioux Falls once prior to this trip for a Sick Puppies and Three Days Grace concert. Bailey and Liam had traveled through Sioux Falls twice on our way to Winnipeg. Having just a taste of this town on multiple occasions gives people like us—who love to travel and explore—an itch to take the time to experience it. Being that the town is just a 3-hour drive, the couple decided to take a weekend and explore.
In March of 2019, Liam and Bailey took an epic trip to Winnipeg and Thunder Bay, they completed that trip with an adventure down highway 61 in Minnesota. This highway travels along Lake Superior from the border of the U.S. and Canada to Duluth, Minnesota. Before leaving Minnesota, the couple took in the NCHC championships in St. Paul.
From Winnipeg, Manitoba to Thunder Bay, Ontario, this was Liam and Bailey’s first time experiencing the Great Lakes. Thunder Bay sits on the shore of Lake Superior just north of Minnesota.
Almost one year to the day after Bailey and Liam made their first-ever trip to Canada, they decided to head back up to Winnipeg, Manitoba for more hockey and exploration.
In July of 2018, Liam and Bailey visited White Bear Lake and the surrounding Twin Cities area of Minnesota with Liam’s mom and sister. During their time, they took in a Minnesota Twins baseball game, visited Mall of America, ate some great local food, experienced Minnehaha Falls, and watched airplanes land at MSP Airport.
Liam Theo (Bigs) and Bailey Audrey (Littles) consider their adventure to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2017 the trip that officially hooked the pair on traveling. This was before both Liam and Bailey were comfortable in front of the camera, so they captured the adventure through their eyes.
Well, unfortunately, this intro was made but never used. I had hoped to make a short film of my entire BANFF and Yoho experience pretty quickly after our trip. Well, it never came to fruition, but I still love the intro I made. I still hope to make a short film of the experience someday, but I will probably do a new intro for it.
Bob Ross has been one of my favorite public figures for quite a few years now. I’ve spent a lot of time watching his painting and have wanted to make the attempt myself. Since I haven’t had a chance to put the effort onto canvas, I have made my attempt digitally using my iPad. I hope you enjoy the final product (which is available on my website for purchase). Bailey and I took our first trip to Wisconsin in July of 2019. To be more specific, we visited the Green Bay area—Appleton, Oshkosh, Green Bay, and Door County. A lot of firsts for me with this trip and a lot of amazing experiences!
In these times that are difficult to stay sane, the little things are what's going to keep us going. Maxwell is a positive piece of my sanity.
Over the past couple of years, I have been to Des Moines quite a bit. It's only a two-hour drive from Omaha. This trip crossed off the final thing that I wanted to experience, an AHL game. I went to watch the Manitoba Moose take on the Iowa Wild in mid-January 2020.
Typically, the end of December through the end of February is supposed to be prime time for some pond hockey in Nebraska. This year, we weren't able to skate until mid to back half of January.

On January 4, 2020, Bailey and I made the trip to St. Paul, Minnesota to watch the Winnipeg Jets play the Minnesota Wild. About 20 minutes into the trip, things went south fast. A snowstorm rolled through the part of Iowa that we were driving through and doubled our drive time.
Unlike many of my videos, only my iPhone XR was used for all videos and pictures.
During our visit to Lake Louise, I was so absolutely blown away by its beauty that I made this short film of our time there. Bailey and I started a new tradition during our time in Wisconsin of bringing our trips home with us. Lake Louise was one that we definitely had to bring home with us! After visiting 2 of the Great Lakes, I have become very fascinated with the Great Lakes and large bodies of water. I now have a love and passion for nautical design, art, and so on. It was only natural that I created a design using the nautical theme.
Last night I was at the 2019 College Homerun Derby at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska. We sat in club seating behind the plate. The winner of the even put on an amazing show as well as the fireworks.
After traveling through Sioux Falls many times, I finally got the chance to stay in the town and experience it! Jim Gaffigan had a show scheduled and that was what brought us to pull the trigger on making the trip. Falls Park was holding a multi-cultural festival during the time we went. I love this town!
During the month of May, I was so incredibly busy moving that I didn't have time to create, edit, and upload any videos. Hell, I didn't even have time to turn my computer on…
In future busy moments in my life or when I'm on the go, I will need a way to edit and upload videos. So, with the new Adobe Rush app for your mobile device looks to be just the tool needed. Here is my first edit and hopefully in the future, I will be able to get better and faster with the editing.
On April 19, 2019, I purchased a new camera from Rockbrook Camera Legacy Village in Omaha, Nebraska. I had been shopping for a new camera for the past couple of years and over the few weeks leading up to the purchase, I did tons of research and visited plenty of stores!
For my first-ever face cam video, I unboxed a package that I received from Canada. It came from the Royal Canadian Mint in Ottawa, Ontario.
My first time using my grill this year! It feels like forever since I've made something on it. It turned out amazing. I made bone-in pork chops with precooked seasoning done by me.
At the end of the Come From Away Musical on Tour show, two cast members came out to announce the donation to Nebraska's flood relief that the Come From Away producers are making!
This video showcases my photography from my trip with Bailey and Jenna on our first-ever track outside the U.S. We visited Winnipeg, Manitoba in March of 2018 (Left Omaha, Nebraska March 17). This trip we experienced the Canadian Museum For Human Rights, Assiniboine Zoo, Little Mountain Park, Royal Canadian Aviation Museum, Winnipeg Jets Hockey Game, the Canadian Mint, the Manitoba Legislative Building, A comedy show at Rumor's (Ryan Ash), and Assiniboine Park.
I never really got the chance to skate on the pond growing up, so now I do my best not to miss any opportunities. This year the opportunity came up late. On February 8, 2019, the weather and my schedule finally matched up to allow me to get on the pond. I skated on Wherspan Lake inside of Chalco Hills Recreation Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

If you're ever lucky enough to take the Pike's Peak Railway tour to the summit, they talk about how the "Purple Mountain Majesty" line in "America The Beautiful" was written about the mountains of Colorado. This artwork happened mostly on accident, I was feeling creative during my trip to Canada in March of 2018. I just sat down, opened an image, and let my hands and mind do the rest.

On June 23 of 2018, Liam and Bailey went by Eppley Airfield in Omaha, Nebraska to watch planes land and take off. We got right underneath the aircraft as they were coming into the runway. It was so awesome! Liam filmed this using his GoPro Hero 5! It makes for amazing videos. I hope you enjoy!

I created a graphic to support my about page and the section describing some of my hobbies. I use Adobe Illustrator to create this vector graphic. In this video, I show the process of making a desktop wallpaper for the hockey team that introduced me to hockey! I grew up following the Lincoln Stars USHL hockey team and was quite the fan. My family had season tickets for the majority of the team’s existence. Last year I worked for the team as a part of the ice crew, driving Zamboni and so on.
Over this past weekend, Bailey and I went to a friend's family farm to spend a few days at their cabin. The cabin is beautiful and sits on 1,500–2,000 acres of land. The land is used mostly as pastures for cattle, but it's also a great place to spend time. This time we spent our time riding around the land in Polaris Rangers and playing Capture The Flag! It was an absolute blast! We were able to be pretty isolated from reality all weekend, it was a great getaway.
To play Capture the flag, the rules are pretty simple:
1. Set your team's area restrictions
2. Hide your team flag
3. Meet back at the initial meeting place to give the opposing team a hint of where to search (Don't give them too much of a clue!)
4. Set out to find the other team's flag, first one to find it and return to the initial meeting place wins!
It's a good idea to have one walkie-talkie per team in order to provide additional hints if necessary.
This time I was paired with the other guy of the group and we faced off against the ladies. The Guys won the first round and the ladies took the second round.

Watch as I create a layout design to showcase my umbrella business and one of my sub companies logos in a desktop wallpaper. I use Photoshop to manipulate pre-existing vector logos that I created in Adobe Illustrator by using clipping masks, layer styles, textures, and blending modes. The prominent image is the “Phalcon” from my umbrella company WILL SPICKELMIER | PHALCON INDUSTRIES, featuring text labeling the company name. The secondary logo represented in this design is for my hockey merchandising business, Substantial Hockey. I have also created designs in this same series for the iPhone 6, 7, 6 plus, and 7 plus.
My first true video project in my career, though I suppose this was prior to my career as this was a school project. We were tasked to go through the entire video process of a short 3–5 minute video.
